privacy policy

your pages are yours.

How d4yly handles what you write, in plain words.

This policy explains what d4yly collects, why, who helps us run it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. We kept it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, write to us.

Effective 3 October 2026.

who we are

d4yly is made by Karvon Labs. We decide how your data is used, and we are responsible for it.

Questions, requests or worries about your data: us@d4yly.com.

the short version

  • We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to AI companies.
  • There are no ads in d4yly, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We don't use your entries to train AI models.
  • Your pages are never shown to anyone you didn't choose.
  • You can delete any entry or your whole account from the app, and ask us for a copy of your data.

what we collect

Your accountYou can start as a guest: we create an account id and store your journal under it without an email address. If you later link email, Google or Apple, we store your email address and may store your name; Google or Apple may also give us a profile picture link and their account identifier.
What you write and sayYour entries and your answers to d4yly's questions. Your voice notes, as audio and as text. Mood taps, the trackers you keep (for example sleep) and your conversations with d4yly.
What d4yly makes from itThe notes d4yly writes back, insights, patterns, recaps and your portrait. The people and threads d4yly remembers from your pages. These are written by AI from what you share.
Your settingsTimezone, language, reminder time, theme, your usage-data choice and your plan.
Your deviceA push token so reminders reach you. Identifiers that Google's Firebase tools create for your app install. A check that the request comes from the real d4yly app. Your platform and app version. d4yly doesn't collect your device's advertising ID.
Usage and diagnosticsWhich screens you open and which steps you finish, crash reports, and performance data such as how fast the app starts. These never include the text of your entries. They carry no name or email, but they are tied to random identifiers for your app install, so they are pseudonymous, not anonymous. This is on by default. You can switch it off any time in Settings → share usage data.
Rough locationGoogle's analytics and performance tools estimate your country or city from your IP address. We never ask for your precise location.

We don't collect your contacts, photos, files, precise location or browsing history. d4yly doesn't take payments today.

why we use it

  • To run d4yly: sign you in, keep your pages and settings, and show them on your devices.
  • To write your notes back, insights, recaps and replies with AI, and to turn voice notes into text.
  • To send the reminders and notifications you asked for.
  • To keep d4yly secure: protect sign-in, block fake apps and prevent abuse.
  • To fix crashes and improve d4yly, using usage and diagnostics data, which never includes the text of your entries.
  • To answer you when you write to us.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't build ad profiles.

AI and your pages

To write your notes back, insights, recaps and conversation replies, and to transcribe voice notes, d4yly uses AI models provided by Google. They process your entries, voice audio, conversation messages and related notes from your earlier pages on our behalf, only to do that.

Under Google's terms for paid API use, Google does not use it to improve its products. Google may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse and to meet legal obligations.

We don't read your entries. Someone at d4yly would only look at your data if you ask us to, for example for support, or if the law requires it.

AI can get things wrong. What d4yly writes back is a reflection, not advice.

who helps us run d4yly

We use a few trusted companies. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service to us.

Google — Firebase and Google CloudHosting, database, file storage, sign-in, notifications, analytics, crash and performance reports, and app checks. Your data is stored in the United States.
Google — AI modelsThe AI features described above.
AppleSign in with Apple, notifications on iPhone, and app checks on Apple devices.

We don't share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

how long we keep it

While you use d4ylyWe keep your pages for as long as your account is open. You can delete any entry whenever you want. Patterns d4yly already noticed from other entries may remain.
When you delete your accountYour account is closed and waits 30 days in case you change your mind. A guest can restore it during that window only while the original app session is available; reinstalling or losing the device can prevent recovery. After 30 days, everything is erased: your pages, voice notes, what d4yly made from them, your settings, your exports and your account.
BackupsWe keep encrypted backups to recover from accidents. Deleted data rolls off them within 14 weeks.
Records of the deletionA few technical records that show the deletion happened are kept for up to a year. Your account id in them is replaced by a one-way code. We also keep that code and the date for good, so a deleted account can never be restored by mistake. None of these hold anything you wrote.
Usage and diagnosticsKept for the periods Google's standard Firebase settings allow. They are not tied to your name or email, so deleting your account does not remove them.

your choices and rights

Get a copyWrite to us@d4yly.com and we'll send you a copy of your data.
Delete any entryWhenever you want, from the app.
Delete your accountSettings → delete account. Can't open the app? See how deleting works.
Usage dataSettings → share usage data switches analytics, crash reports and performance data off together.
RemindersTurn them off in the app or in your phone's settings.
Ask usWrite to us@d4yly.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or with any other request. We'll answer within one month.

If you live in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to access, correct, delete and take a copy of your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We use your data to provide the service you signed up for, and, where it's in our legitimate interest, to keep d4yly secure and to understand how it's used. You can object to the second by switching off usage data. What you write about your feelings, mood or health is processed with your explicit consent, which the app asks for once, before your first entry. You can withdraw it by deleting your account. Your data is stored in the United States.

age

d4yly is for adults, 18 and over. Please don't use it if you're younger. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll delete it.

security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. d4yly checks that requests come from the real app before it answers them. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your pages safe, and we'll tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters for how your data is used, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.

what d4yly is

d4yly is a journal, not therapy, medical care or an emergency service. If you're in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
